About the Ghana Education Service (GES)

The Ghana Education Service (GES) is the statutory agency responsible for the implementation of national policies and programs for pre-tertiary education in Ghana, established under Act 506 (1995). With over 20,000 public schools** nationwide — including Basic, JHS, and SHS — GES ensures equitable access to quality education for all Ghanaians.

This system empowers every Senior High School to digitize attendance, grading, promotion, and reporting — while giving GES officials real-time visibility into performance, attendance trends, and resource allocation at regional, district, and school levels.
